Brand Identity + Website

The Conformist is a Los Angeles-based tech company providing workflow solutions for Post-Production teams in Film, Television and Streaming.

Working with founding member Nicholas McGregor, I conceptualized and created all branding materials, built their website and provided additional marketing collateral.

Brand Identity

Unlike the lion's share of Web3 companies, Turnout uses blockchain technology toward benefitting users' real world lives. I boiled this mission down to a simple slogan, "A new tool for timeless experiences."

For the logo, I visually abstracted the "ticketing" concept to its geometrical essence - a simple stack of rectangles. As a color of life, physicality and vigor, I saw red as a fitting choice.

Marketing Materials

Drawing inspiration from the DIY music scene I spent much of my youth participating in, I incorporated Xerox'd show fliers and rowdy gig photography into the promo materials.

User Journey

Creating a simple flow chart, I marked the user journey from sign-up, through profile building and ticket purchase. The app doubles as a form of community-building social media, letting users connect with fellow fan to showcase their digital ticket collections and accompanying gig photos.

Adding Additional Value

Using Turnout, artists and venues are able to attach additional forms of content to the tickets at a higher price mark-up, such as set-lists, pre and post-show vlogs, merch vouchers and other show-related ephemera.

By tying the tickets to the blockchain, fans and artists are able to re-sell the tickets and proprietary content while earning a percentage of every successive resell.
